2020 ended with a flurry of transactions for Agribusiness Trading Group. ATG recently closed two vineyard transactions in the Walla Walla Valley AVA, where rich soils and a unique climate combine to produce world-class wine grapes.
The Walla Walla Valley, which is also a major wheat and onion producer, is a climatically diverse growing region. The area is cooler and wetter than a number of Washington’s growing regions which allows a limited number of vineyards in the eastern section to dry farm, an extreme rarity in Washington. With 2,700-3,300 annual degree-days and consistent southwest wind, the perfect climate is created for quality grapes.
ATG is proud to announce the sale of an established vineyard property within the SeVein Project. Located on the southern border of the Walla Walla AVA in Oregon, the SeVein Vineyard Project is a collection of some of the most technologically advanced vineyard properties in the Walla Walla Valley. Countless wines from SeVein have been given 90 or higher scores in wine publications and in 2004 it was named one of the ‘great vineyards in the world’ by Wine & Spirits Magazine. Alongside this vineyard property, ATG also recently sold another mature vineyard and irrigated farm within the Walla Walla AVA.
